The National Parks and Wildlife Service, part of DECC, licenses and regulates wildlife groups in NSW.
NSW Wildlife Council
The peak body representing the interests of over 4000 wildlife rehabilitators in NSW, with TVWC being a member of this group.
Friends of the Koala
Friends of the Koala is the wildlife group licensed to rescue and rehabilitate koalas in the Northern Rivers of NSW, including the Tweed Shire, working closely with TVWC.
Northern Rivers Wildlife Carers
Northern Rivers Wildlife Carers is a licensed wildlife group covering the Byron, Ballina, Lismore and Kyogle Shire Councils. TVWC works closely with NRWC, especially where animals are found near our coverage borders.
Australian Seabird Rescue
Australian Seabird Rescue is licensed to rehabilitate seabirds, marine turtles and marine mammals. They work closely with TVWC in the rescue and rehabilitation of seabirds in the Tweed and adjoining coastal regions of northern NSW.
Northern Rivers WIRES
Northern Rivers WIRES is a licensed wildlife care group covering the regions to the south and west of the Tweed Shire in the Northern Rivers of NSW
Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary
The wildlife hospital of Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary is a valuable resource for TVWC, providing specialist vet services for injured wildlife. It is situated in Millers Drive, Currumbin, Qld.
